Information Technology – Business Data Analyst
KKW Trucking, Inc. is a premier provider of transportation services in the Western United States. KKW is a 55-year-old growing company and is looking for new talented associates. KKW’s corporate offices are located in Pomona, CA.
The Business Data Analyst (BDA) reports to the Director of Information Technology and is responsible for the collection, analysis, and reporting of business data to the Executive and management teams. The BDA will work with all departments to improve processes that affect the value and accuracy of data captured throughout all business processes. The BDA’s responsibilities will include:
Data Collection and Modeling – The BDA will become the subject matter expert for and maintain data collection, analysis, modeling and reporting tools such as Crystal Reports, Help-Systems Sequel, TMW-Netwise, and Appian Direct-Route.
Data Analysis and Validation – The BDA will filter and clean the data collected as needed to facilitate accurate reporting. The BDA will apply practical understanding of our business practices along with mathematical and statistical analysis to validate the data collected is accurate and facilitates the desired reporting.
Reporting – The BDA will present data that has been collected and validated to the Executive and Management teams in an effective format that best represents the data. Reporting formats may include Excel spreadsheets, graphs, charts, PowerPoint presentations, dashboards, written and oral presentations.
Report Automation – The BDA will use MS Excel, MS Visual Basic, and MS SQL to automate data collection, analysis, and reporting.
Data and Process Improvement – The BDA will work with all departments to improve processes that affect the value and accuracy of data captured throughout all business operations.
Strong organization, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
Experience performing data analysis and reporting in Transportation/Logistics/Supply-Chain industry
(OR) 4 year degree in related field (currently pursuing degree in related field is acceptable)
Strong MS Office skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Visual Basic
Strong analytical skills including application of mathematics and statistical analysis.
Experience with data collection and reporting tools (Crystal Reports, Help Systems Sequel) is preferred.
Database experience (MS SQL, SQL scripting, DB2, DB400) is preferred.
